2021 First Glamp (Finally)

Needless to say the whole fresh water tank Fiasco had thrown off the great camping plans at the beginning of the Summer.  Because of the “unknown” we had cancelled our reservations right through July and early August.

However, this ended up being a good thing.  What this has done is taken us out of our “favourite comfort camping locations” to explore something new.  We forget that Vancouver Island has literally over 35 Provincial and Forestry Boondock Camp Sites/Grounds, let alone dozens of private ones.

We had planned on a  “Summer start-up” trip to Little Qualicum Falls earlier but cancelled due to poor weather.  However, God smiled on us and we were able to book a short 4-day stay.  This camp ground happens to be only 30 minutes away from our residence … a nice plus.

We really enjoyed this park as it is quiet, peaceful, and restful.  The trails are scenic all along the waters leading to the amazing Qualicum Falls … an awe inspiring experience with lots of areas to access the waters for a swim or a place to soak and take in nature’s beauty. We will definitely be going back! 😊

Here are a couple of pix – enjoy!
