Water Hoses – Blue & Grey

The lousy plastic RV water hoses drove me crazy. Take the 25 feet of the “white” fresh water hose (in the sun tasted like plastic ?) which is also to short to be worth while.  So we had to have 50 feet of it which was a horror show to stow in the “small” lockers of Blue Streak. This same scenario was with the “orange” grey water hose used for washing Blue Streak and rinsing the “after dumping” stuff and things.  Again, even 25 feet of Orange is a pain to coil and store. Oh sure, I have seen folks coil and store these hoses in everything including “laundry baskets” in the back of their truck. For us however, this is not a convenient option with all the other Boondock/Camping gear we carry.

We solved this dilemma with Zero-G (Grey) Lightweight, Ultra Flexible, Durable, Kink-Free Garden Hose, 5/8″ x 100′ for general usage such as washing Blue Streak and rinsing after dumping our waste tanks..

For potable fresh water we now use Zero-G (Blue) Ultra Flexible, Durable, Kink-Free RV/Marine Hose, 1/2″ x 50′ – by the way, we carry two 50 foot lengths.  The old saying of: “better to have it and not use it – than need it and not have it” has turned out to be true – just saying. ?

The Zero-G hoses roll/fold into very small compact units easily stored in plastic container that fit in our storage lockers. Love these hoses ??
