TPMS Began To ALARM

When we hitched-up on leaving Morton Lake the TST-TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) began to ALARM!!!!!

We never leave home without this important tool

One of our tires on Blue Streak was only showing 10# of pressure and that’s a far cry from the normal 65# of pressure. So we pull out the Viair 400P-RV Automatic Portable Compressor (again, we never leave home without it) and pumped up the pressure to the recommended 65#. The drive home was about 2 1/2 hours on the Hwy (at 90km per hour) plus add additional 45 min traveling on the logging roads from the campground to the Hwy.  During the drive I notice our TPMS was showing a slow pressure reduction in the same tire.  We arrived home safely and I had time then to inspect the tire in detail.  Here is what I discovered. ?

Who would have guessed that we had pickup a machine screw, complete with washer, in our new Goodyear Endurance Tire.  Just look at the size of that sucker. So I’ve pulled the tire and off to the neighborhood tire fix-it place ? and $30.00 later put it back on Blue Streak.
